Brazil′′s Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados has helped real estate company MRV Engenharia complete its third issuance of non-convertible debentures, worth over 516 million reais (US$293 million).
Brazilian banks Bradesco BBI and BB Investimentos coordinated the transaction closed on 15 March, having also taken advice from Machado Meyer.
The four-year bonds were issued on 1 February, and will pay an annual interest rate of 1.6 per cent over the local inter-bank rate, or DI.
MRV will use the proceeds to finance its investment programme and new acquisitions.
In June last year the Brazilian real estate developer sold bonds worth US$58 million through a fiduciary transfer of real estate to refinance promissory notes issued by the company in March.
