International Financial Law Review, the leading global publication in Corporate and Financial Law, chose Machado Meyer as Law Firm of the Year Brazil 2012. On March 29th, during a ceremony in New York, the firm was also flattered with the Project Finance Deal of the Year, award regarding the operation of US$ 786 million financing for Embraport (Brazilian Port Terminals), directed to the construction and operation of a container by Santos port, in São Paulo, Brazil.
Tier 1 in all categories
IFLR 1000, an annual ranking published by IFLR, has once again placed Machado Meyer among the most prominent Brazilian law firms in Finance and Corporate law.
In the 2012 edition, between the five practices (Banking, Capital Markets, M&A, Private Equity and Project Finance), the firm is ranked as tier 1 in all categories. Notice that, within each of the bands in their respective areas, the law firms appear in alphabetical order. Therefore, all the tier 1 firms are equally evaluated, regardless of the order in which their names are mentioned. It is also applicable to bands 2 and 3.
