Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados has advised Bertin Group on the sale of Brasil Central Energia, one of its energy assets.
The transaction closed on 1 July, and involved Bertin selling its equity interest in the capital of the asset for a sum of US$193 million, to Brookfield Group.
Brookfield was advised by Pinheiro Guimarães – Advogados, and in-house counsel.
