Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados has helped technology company Indra Brasil in its acquisition of Politec Tecnologia da Informação.
The deal was signed on 29 July, and is valued at US$137 million. Politec, the Brazilian IT company which has expanded across Latin America and the US, was advised by Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados, while Mitsubishi, which owns an 8.8 per cent stake in Politec, looked to TozziniFreire Advogados.
Last year Muñiz Ramírez Pérez-Taiman & Olaya helped the buyer′s Spanish parent company, Indra Sistemas, buy a majority stake in Peruvian technology company Com.
Indra′s latest acquisition marks a move away from its domestic market, which is currently caught up in the Eurozone debt crisis.
