Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados has helped air conditioner company Carrier sell a 51 per cent stake in the company′s Brazilian, Argentine and Chilean operations to Chinese household appliance manufacturing conglomerate Midea.
The US$220 million deal has been completed but will officially close in the final week of October. Midea was represented by in-house counsel.
The deal will consolidate Mideas heating, ventilation and air conditioning operations in Latin America.
